LIES, LLC is a Licensed Private Investigation Firm within the State of Connecticut. We provide investigative support for the Connecticut Department of Developmental Services as well as the hundreds of facilities, group homes, educational programs and other services provided for residents with intellectual disabilities.

These types of investigations can be very challenging. Quite often the victims are unable to communicate, so at times we do not have information directly from the victims. Also, those individuals who can communicate are often more susceptible to influence and suggestion, sometimes from staff and possible suspects, and they have a high risk of being led by the investigator which can result in incorrect or misleading information. This can happen within any investigative interview, but the risks are significantly increased within these types of investigations and with this at-risk population. Understanding how to effectively conduct interviews with such victims as well as with other people working with or caring for such individuals is paramount to ensure that the truth is found and justice is served.
